(WHAS11)  A local man, who was found Saturday night with a gunshot wound and transported to the hospital, has been identified as 35-year-old Antonio Spaulding.  The coroner has confirmed that Spaulding lived at the address where police found him after the shooting and that he died of a single gunshot wound.  Dwight Mitchell, LMPD, said the shooting occurred at 9:42 p.m. in the 1700 block of South 13th Street.

Mitchell said that when police arrived on the scene, they found a male victim with a gunshot wound.  A second victim, a female, was also found with a gunshot wound.  Both victims were transported to University Hospital, where the male victim succumbed to his injuries.

The victims were a married couple who lived at the address where they were found.  The wife, who was treated for non-life threatening injuries and released, is now speaking out and asking the shooter to come forward.

Police are following leads, but say there currently have been no arrests made.  Anyone with any information is asked to call 574-LMPD.
