(WHAS11) - A judge has ruled that a local attorney cannot represent one of the defendants in a high profile Louisville murder case.

A motion was granted to block attorney Keith Kamenish from representing Dion Neal. Neal is federally charged with murder and racketeering in the killing of LaJuante Jackson.

Neal’s co-defendant is Ricky Kelly, who was once charged in state court with seven other murders.

Federal prosecutors say Kamenish has represented both Kelly and the murder victim, Jackson, in the past on other cases.
