Louisville, Ky. (WHAS) – WHAS 11 news has learned that well-known local charity founder Stan Curtis, charged with stealing $183,000 from USA Harvest will not be appearing in federal court the week after Thanksgiving.
His attorney, Scott Cox, said he’ll ask for another delay that will push Curtis’ first court appearance into January. The U.S. Attorney’s office told WHAS they will support that move.
Family members say Curtis is hospitalized again and is still very in very poor health since being first hospitalized in September with an undetermined infection.
