LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – A Lexington lawmaker is expected to apologize after calling another legislator a narrow-minded nimrod on Facebook.

Democratic state senator Kathy Stein told the Lexington Herald-Leader that she made the comment on a blog and thought it would be private. It also appeared on her Facebook account because the blog was powered by it.

Her comment was directed at Republican senator Mike Wilson of Bowling Green referring to her unhappiness of him being the chair of the Senate Education Committee and even saying “Lord help us.”

Wilson said that Stein’s “negative discourse” saddened him but he was excited about his new position on the committee.
