LEXINGTON, Ky. (WHAS11)-- Lexington police are busy after Kentucky beat archrival Louisville to advance to the Elite 8.

There have been multiple reports of several fires on State Street and University Street area just off campus where large groups of at least 1000 students.

According to the Lexington Police scanner, bottles have been thrown at police in various areas. A student was apparently struck in the head with a beer bottle and EMS is responding to check the person out.

There were reports of shots fired, but that report turned out to be fireworks that were being set off.

Lexington Police have reported that several stop signs have been pulled out of the ground by those celebrating.

The first report of a couch fire was during the game, on Waller Street just off of campus near Commonwealth Stadium.
