(USA Today) -- As Lebron James plotted his return to Cleveland, fans in his home state gathered around LeBron’s home in Bath Township waiting to celebrate. Their presence led to increased traffic and a police presence in the area. As an apology for that distraction, the James family recently sent neighbors a box of cupcakes to say sorry.

The card read: “Dear Friend, We know things have been hectic in the neighborhood these past few weeks. We are so thankful to live in this wonderful community and we are so blessed to have understanding neighbors like you.”

The package, which contained one dozen cupcakes, was delivered by teams from Baker Boulevard Decadent Desserts. ABC 5 reports that the two cupcake flavors in the box — Homecourt Chocolate Chunk and Just A Kid from Akron Cherry Cola — were developed for James’ foundation and are sold at the bakery, with all proceeds benefitting the charity.
