(WHAS11) - Some laundry detergent packs are about to change in an effort to prevent chemical poisoning in children.
The bright colored pods of detergent have recently been mistaken for candy by children nation wide. About 1,200 children have been poisoned in the past five months.
Proctor and Gamble say they will now put double latch lids on detergent canisters and will also make the warning labels larger. The company says the updated design is said to be seen on shelves soon.
