LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – The University of Louisville has struck a multi-million dollar deal to pay for the tract along Floyd Street where 22 landmark silos have towered for years.

The property borders I-65 and is currently owned by Solae.

The University’s chief of staff says the silos will eventually be demolished to make room for academic or research related issues.

The agreement was confirmed for $3.3 million.
