LARUE COUNTY, Ky. (WHAS11) – In a move some parents and concerned citizens say is unacceptable, the LaRue County Superintendent remains on the job.
More than 50 community members waited to see if any action would be taken against Superintendent Sam Sanders, who failed a sobriety test after being pulled over in a school district vehicle Saturday night.
School board members held a closed-door session to decide his fate but later said they would wait for the legal process to take its course.
Sanders remains in his position as superintendent of LaRue County Public Schools.
He’s due in court next week for charges of DUI and speeding more than 15-miles over the limit.
