LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Two men are facing weapons charges after a tip led police to a Louisville home were they found several firearms.
According to a police report, officers began surveillance when they developed information about some stolen weapons.
During their surveillance, officers stopped 58-year-old Terry Robards when he was entering the home, who police said gave them consent to search the property. During their search, police said they found 13 assorted firearms which were later identified as stolen. Another man was also stopped outside the home. Police said they searched 57-year-old Rodney Valentine's vehicle and found 11 stolen rifles.
Neither man lived at the address under surveillance, but police did search Robard's apartment and Valentine's residence.
Two additional firearms were discovered at Valentine's residence, police said, and at Robards apartment they found a pipe with white residue.
Robards is charged with receiving stolen property, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Valentine is charged with receiving stolen property and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
