23rd Street homicide victim identified, police continue search for suspects

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Police in Metro Louisville continue to seek answers and suspects after a man was shot to death overnight.

Police said they were called out to an alley near the intersection of 23rd and St. Louis streets where they found a man's body.

Sixty-year-old Larry J. Macklin was pronounced dead at the scene. Macklin is described by witnesses as a neighborhood fixture who was frequently seen pushing a lawnmower around the neighborhood.

The coroner said Maclin's cause of death was a single gun shot wound.

Police said they are looking for suspects. If you have any information you are asked to call 574-LMPD.
