3 dead in South Louisville homicide

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Louisville Metro Police are investigating a homicide in the 3500 block of Georgetown Place in South Louisville.

According to police, three men were found dead from gunshot wounds. Two were found dead in the driver and front passenger seat of a Ford Explorer. Another man was found dead outside the vehicle.

The family of 31 year-old Kavin Tandy says he was one of the men who were shot.

According to Tandy's aunt, Denise Person, Tandy was taken to University Hospital where he died. 

Police say none of the three men lived at the apartment comes where the deadly shooting happened. Person says Tandy was visiting his cousin who lives there.

According to Tandy's family, he was robbed a few days ago at the same complex and they worry to two crimes are connected. Police have not said what a possible motive may be and were unaware of the possible connection.

Police say at this point it is too early in their investigation to rule out if one of the men who died was the shooter.
