LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11)-- LMPD confirms they spoke with a Louisville teen who claims to have started the "Louisvilles Purge" rumor on social media.
Police said the teen is a 16-year-old Iroquois High School student who sent out a tweet on August 10th.
WHAS11 has decided to not identify the teen, since he is a minor and no charges have been filed. He told WHAS11 that he is extremely sorry that this was blown out of proportion and that he loves his city.
“I am very sorry I would do anything to stop this,” he said.
