LOUISVILLE, Ky.—A woman was arrested after shoplifting cereal from a local Marathon gas station.
Police said Ashley Sheehan was at the Marathon by Hurstbourne Pkwy. and spat in the managers face before she left the store with the cereal she had not paid for.
When police arrived on the scene a customer advised the officer that the suspect stayed at the Red Carpet and gave them her room.
Police located the subject at the location and were invited into her room. The arrest citation stated that the officer could see the stolen cereal in the room in addition to plastic bags on the night stand with what appeared to be Xanax bars.
Police said the subject continued to give a false name, even after being told it was a crime.
The 2 oz box of cereal cost $1.49.
Sheehan is charged with possession of a controlled substance, theft by unlawful taking/shoplifting and giving an officer a false name.
