LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11)—A Louisville woman was arrested after admitting to taking heroin and driving with her daughter in the vehicle.
Tara Cummings, 27, was pulled over by police on West Manslick Road when they noticed her registration was expired.
Cummings gave consent to search her vehicle and then admitted to having needles in her purse, which she let the officer retrieve.
She admitted to using heroin just over two hours prior to the stop. Police said her speech was confused, she had dilated pupils and was closing her eyes frequently.
After waiting on a family member to retrieve the child, as they were trying to get the child out of the vehicle, police said the witness found a small bag of suspected heroin near the child.
Cummings is charged with no registration plates, drug paraphernalia, wanton endangerment first, and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs.
