LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- A Louisville man is facing several serious charges after police said he tried to shoot and kill another man.

Police said on December 19, 2013 Kyle McCormick fired a gun multiple times at his intended target and one of the bullets entered a nearby residence.

Police said McCormick and the alleged victim had been involved in an altercation early in the day.  McCormick allegedly brought the gun to to a home in the 2500 block of St. Xavier and shot at the victim multiple times, but never hit the man.

One of the bullets reportedly went through a window of a nearby residence and went through two interior walls. Two adults and an infant were in that home when the bullet entered, but were not injured.  The bullet came to a rest inside a third wall and police were called.

McCormick is charged with four counts of wanton endangerment and one count of attempted murder.
