LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11)—Police arrested a man after a woman reportedly said he attempted to run her off the road with his vehicle.

Police said the victim told officers that Austin Koch, 21, was on the interstate and attempted to swerve his vehicle towards hers in an attempted to run her off of the roadway.

The victim told police that Koch pulled ahead of her vehicle and waited in the emergency lane on the right hand side while she passed. Once she passed, Koch pulled back onto the road and caught up with her again.

Koch was in the left lane, while the victim was in the right lane. According to the police report, Koch swerved to the right, causing the victim to swerve to the right as well to avoid being hit by Koch’s vehicle.

When Koch swerved, he lost control of his vehicle and turned left to correct himself, but struck the cable barriers in the center of the interstate.

The victim was able to identify Koch because of the custom decals on the rear window of his vehicle.

There was damage to the cable barriers.

Koch is charged with wanton endangerment first and criminal mischief first.
