LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) — Police arrested a man for a robbery he allegedly committed two months earlier.
Police arrested Terry Searls, 19, on Monday at 3013 Mid Dale Lane after getting a warrant for his arrest on Oct. 8, 2013.
Police said Searls confronted the victim as she left work at McDonald's all the way to her bus stop on Aug. 5, 2013. The victim had her cell phone in her hand and Searls attempted to take it from her.
The warrant for his arrest stated that the Searls then put his arm around the victim’s neck and began choking her to the point where she lost consciousness.
When the victim came to, the suspect was gone, along with her cell phone. She went back to McDonald's where LMPD was called.
The victim was able to identify the suspect as a regular customer and provide officers with the suspects first name. The cameras from McDonald's had Searls on video. Later the victim was able to identify the suspect in a photo-pack.
The victim was treated my EMS at the scene and had soreness to the neck.
Searls is charged with robbery second and wanton endangerment first.
