LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- A Louisville man is accused of stealing a debit card from a bank employee and then blaming it on his young son.
According to police, Sean Mattingly was seen going through a purse belonging to a First Federal Savings Bank employee. When the victim walked into her office, police said Mattingly was sitting in her chair, going through her purse.
After forcing him to leave the office, the victim noticed her debit card was missing.
Mattingly allegedly denied having the card, but when the victim called police, Mattingly approached her with the card. Mattingly reportedly told police his 6-year-old son had taken her card.
The son denied taking the card, police said.
Sean Mattingly is charged with burglary, theft and unlawful transaction with a minor.
