LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11)—A Lou. felon is in jail after firing a weapon outside of a business.
Jesse Lewis Clark, 35, was arrested at 6900 Preston Hwy. after police said they responded to shots fired on Thursdays afternoon.
Police said Clark, along with two co-defendants, were outside a business. Police said Buchannan and Nichols both told police that Clark fired a pistol he had with him into the ditch line, adjacent to a business.
With the shots being fired, several people at close businesses fled and called LMPD. Police said a homicide detective was across the ditch line and he reporded shots being fired in his direction.
Police said Clark then tried to hide the weapons inside the business when police arrived, by moving a ceiling tile and hiding them in the ceiling.
Police used CourtNet and confirmed that Clark was a convicted felon.
Clark is charged with wanton endangerment first degree, disorderly conduct first degree, tampering with physical evidence and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Clark has a $2,500 cash bond and was due in court on Friday for arraignment.
