LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Louisville Metro Police say one of their K-9's helped uncover more than $80,000 hidden in a secret compartment in a vehicle.
"Banjo" made the discovery during a traffic stop on Sunday. Officers pulled over a Nissan on interstate 64.
The driver allowed police to search the SUV when "Banjo" indicated there was contraband in the roof.
Inside the secret compartment was nine duct taped bundles of money worth a total of $81,000.
The driver was given a traffic ticket and released. Officers are still investigating why they had all the cash.
