LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- A Louisville mother was arrested at her son's school after police said she was intoxicated when she verbally abused school officials.
Police said Tamika Sweet was upset with Wheatley Elementary School officials Thursday afternoon because they alerted Child Protective Services earlier in the week after her son allegedly brought prescription pills to school.
When police arrived at the school, Sweet was allegedly acting irate while arguing with school officials.
Sweet was asked to leave the school, but then began fighting with security, striking a guard in the chest.
Police said Sweet smelled strongly of alcohol and threatened to kill school officials. She reportedly act belligerent on her way to jail.
Sweet is charged with assault, terroristic threatening, disorderly conduct and alcohol intoxication.
