LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11)--  Two men are behind bars for a burglary on New Year’s Eve.

Joshua Bowman, 19, and Justice Stivers, 19, both of Louisville, were arrested after they allegedly burglarized a home in the 8700 block of Thixton Lane.

Police said Bowman gave a statement implicating himself and Stivers, saying both men unlawfully entered the home and stole the copper pipes from the house.

Police said the copper was sold to Amen Auto Salvage and the home was left with significant damage from flooding.

Bowman and Stiver’s were arrested less than seven miles from the burglary scene at 7201 Outer Loop.

Both men are charged with burglary in the third degree.
