LOUISVLLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Louisville Electric and Gas wants the Kentucky Public Service Commission--- to drop a citation issued over a natural gas explosion in Okolona in 2011.
The utility was cited for four probable safety violations after the explosion in December 2011.
The Public Service Commission says an LG&E employee didn't check for gas in sewers in the area after responding to reports of a gas odor.
But LG&E denies the accusations-- and is asking for the case to be dismissed.
They've requested an informal meeting with the PSC to talk things over.
