LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11)—The Commonwealth is having a shortage of some ammunition, even two years after the initial shortage began.

Gun sales, gun training and bullet sales all started to rise in Kentucky after the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary followed by a national effort to tighten gun control that caused a panic.

Stores have a hard time keeping .22 caliber bullets in stock, many selling out the same day a shipment comes in.

Some of the ammunition sold gets resold for nearly double the price online.
