LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A local organization is asking a suspect to turn himself in. He's wanted for robbing and shooting a woman who was pushing her grandchild in a stroller in West Louisville.

Louisville Metro Police said the grandmother got off the TARC bus pushing a stroller at 35th and Broadway and the suspect followed her four blocks before police said he stole her purse and shot her.

She has non-life threatening injuries.

The Man Up organization is calling on that suspect to turn himself in and for those in the community to call police with tips.

“We want the community to not have a feeling of apathy, to not get used to this senseless violence. To be outraged, outraged enough to get involved; get involved in the many organizations that this community houses. We don't want you to sit back on your couch and say oh that's a shame. We want you get mad, mad enough to do something,” Ray Barker, with the Man Up organization, said.

If you have any information you are urged to call 574-LMPD.
