HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Jail administrators with the Christian County Jail are trying to figure out how two inmates had access to a cell phone while behind bars.

Officials say inmates Timothy Forte and Earl Caldwell posted photos of themselves on social media networks holding close to $1000.

The Christian County Jailer and his chief deputy were tipped off that the two were posting on Facebook.

Both men were charged with contraband.

Administrators couldn’t determine if a jail staffer or work-release inmate played a role in helping the convicted felons smuggle in the phone.
