SHELBYVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A Shelbyville, Ky. factory employee who was accidentally run over by a co-worker while he was taking a nap has died from his injuries.
The Jefferson County Coroner said 30-year-old Omar Vargas died at University Hospital.
Police say Vargas was on lunch break taking a nap on a small porch at the Kittrich Corporation when he was hit by a car.
The man's co-worker was driving the car and says the acceleration got stuck. She ran over a fence and then hit the employee.
Kittrich Corporation factory is in the Shelby County Industrial Park, and distributes construction paper.
