(WHAS11) -- The Kentucky Court of Appeals has upheld the dismissal of a wrongful death lawsuit against a Louisville parole officer.
It all centers around the deaths of two young girls hit and killed during a police pursuit near UofL.
The court found that Parole Officer Allen George properly supervised 30-year-old Kenielle Finch and can't be held responsible for Finch's fleeing from police.
When Finch tried to escape from police in July of 2009 he struck and killed 5-year-old Claudia Wadlington and 4-year-old Riley Lawrence.
The families sued George saying he didn't supervise Finch.
Finch is serving life in prison.
