(WHAS11)  It was a wild scene in Shelbyville Friday night.

First, Kentucky State Police were trying to pull over a driver on suspicion of DUI.

Authorities said the driver fled, crashed and was ejected from the vehicle.  He is expected to be okay.

Then, while police were working that accident scene, another driver traveling on US 60 rear-ended a Shelby County fire truck.

The driver of that car suffered life threatening injuries; police said alcohol was a factor.  None of the firefighters on the truck were injured.
