LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Kentucky One Health could be considering cuts or layoffs in the future. Officials said they are facing unexpected changes in reimbursement and a rising cost of healthcare.
The president and CEO posted a YouTube video about the challenges they face over the next two years. It is posted below.
The company said they must improve their performance by $218 million before the end of the 2015 fiscal year.
Kentucky One Health formed when Jewish Hospital and Saint Mary's Healthcare joined with Lexington-based Saint Joseph Health System back in 2012.
They also manage University Hospital.
There's still no word on when or even if the layoffs could happen.
