LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11)-- As the winter storm was giving Kentuckiana residents hassle on Friday, some were quietly celebrating the birthday of the Kennedy Bridge.

On a Friday, 50 years ago, officials cut the ribbon to open up a bridge that had a higher price tag to repaint, than to build.
