LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Kentucky State University president Mary Sias said she is standing behind the decision to drop 202 students.
Sias told the board of regents last week the move was necessary. She said 925 students owed money on Jan. 14 when 813 of them were dropped from classes.
Many of those students were reinstated after paying their balances or making payments on an installment plan.
She said some of those who weren't reinstated owed large sums of money and had low grade point averages.
