Suspects arrested in Brandenburg robbery

BRANDENBURG, Ky. (WHAS11) -An anonymous tip resulted in the arrest of two suspects involved in the robbery of a Brandenburg convenience store.

Derick Walker, 35, of Shepherdsville and David Stearman, 31, of Brandenburg were both charged with robbery on April 14 and lodged in the Meade County Detention Center. The investigation is ongoing.

The Friendly Food Mart on Broadway Street was robbed on April 6 by two men armed with a knife. The suspects were identified from pictures taken from the store’s video surveillance cameras and later released by the media.

Police said two white males entered the convenience store at approximately 7:50 p.m. They took the cash drawer and fled the scene.
