CARROLLTON, Ky. (WHAS11) – Two people were arrested on the night of June 10 after State Troopers found a meth lab in a home on Highway 36.
Kentucky State Troopers went to the home of Ricky Shelton, 56, after obtaining information the he and Dana Harmon, 49, were possibly manufacturing methamphetamine at the residence. Troopers learned that Harmon, a Louisville native, had an outstanding warrant for probation violation and contacted Probation and Parole. After Probation and Parole arrived, a search of the home was conducted. Troopers located a meth lab and several ingredients used in manufacturing methamphetamine in the garage.
Shelton and Harmon were both charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Unlawful Possession of a Meth Precursor. Additionally, Harmon was served with two warrants for probation violation. Both were lodged at the Carroll County Detention Center.
Two children that were located in the home were released to family members.
