ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. (WHAS11)—One man is in custody after police said he was leading KSP on a short pursuit following a hit and run.
Police said Justin S. Gibson, 29 of Eastview, hit a vehicle and fled on I-65 near the 91 mile marker on Sunday at around 9 p.m.
Troopers made contact with the suspect’s vehicle and, after a brief pursuit, got the vehicle stopped on Hawkins Drive.
Gibson is charged with his second DUI offense, resisting arrest, menacing, failure to produce insurance card, disorderly conduct second, terroristic threatening third, criminal mischief third, speeding 26 mpg or more over, leaving the scene of an accident, wanton endangerment first, failure to or improper signal, disregarding a stop sign, driving too fast for conditions and failure to wear a seat belt.
Gibson is being housed in the Hardin Co. Detention Center.
