LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Jefferson County’s court system is closed Tuesday due to an effort to save the county money.
Tuesday marks the second of three planned furlough days this year to help balance a $25 million shortfall in the judicial budget.
All Jefferson County courts and driver’s license branches are closed.
The third and final furlough day is scheduled for Mon., Oct. 15.
