JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (WHAS11) – The clock is counting down to Thunder Over Louisville and restaurants are gearing up for it.

For many of the businesses along the Ohio River, it’s the busiest day of the year.

“We’re pretty close to getting sold out. We’ve got a couple of tables left out here on the patio,” James Schmuckie of the Bristol Bar and Grill said.

Restaurants are so busy that many of them have to take reservations for Thunder Saturday and like the Bristol Bar and Grill, reservations are going fast.

Across Riverside Drive, there’s no exception at Buckhead Mountain Grill.

The restaurants in Jeffersonville have a perfect seat in the house – front and center along the Ohio River.

The lawn sits empty but come next weekend, it will be packed with spectators.

Managers at many of the Jeffersonville restaurants expect this year’s Thunder to draw in even more crows than last because of the dry weather and the return of the military planes in the air show.
