JCPS teachers and employees get raises

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Hundreds of teachers and Jefferson County Public School employees are getting a raise.
On Monday, the County Board of Education approved a one percent increase for this upcoming school year. It was part of the new contract agreement between the board and the teacher's union.
The money will come from the district's general fund.
