LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Jefferson County Public School board members announced the results of their evaluation of Superintendent Donna Hargens Monday.
Hargens was praised by members for boosting student achievement and did not ask for a raise.
The district also released their response to a strong state audit that questioned their spending on classroom instruction.
JCPS officials say they have already implemented many changes and reduced central office spending since 2011.
The board also approved the scheduled salary increase for the district. For current employees, it means a 1-percent raise.
A topic also discussed during the meeting was the proposal to move Liberty High School to the old Myers Middle School building.
The students who were at Myers are now being moved to Waggener High School.
It’s unclear what would happen to the current building where Liberty High School is now on Indian Trail.
This proposal will come up for a vote at a later time.
