LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Jefferson County Public Schools has started off the school year with a hotline dedicated to answering questions about bus routes.
The JCPS bus line is a chance for parents and guardians of students to get information before the start of the school year which begins on Wednesday.
Superintendent Donna Hargens was on hand to answer calls Sunday for the first of 5 days of the hotline.
“It just makes sense to make sure parents know where the bust stop is and what time the bus will be there so they can have their child ready because it’s all about getting to school on time and actually learning on the first day – so we want all of those things to go smoothly,” she said.
The number for bus information is 485-RIDE and the line will be open Monday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Tuesday from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Wednesday and Thursday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
