Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11)- The Jefferson County Public School Board will take up the student assignment plan during a special meeting Monday afternoon.
That plan is making its way through the courts with the district asking the Supreme Court to get involved.
An appeals court previously struck down the plan saying students have the right to attend the school closest to their home.
The meeting begins at 4 p.m. followed by the regular meeting.
