JCPS approves calendar change; last day June 6

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- In a board session held Monday evening at the VanHoose Education Center, the Jefferson County Public Schools board has voted to end the year on June 6.

Governor Steve Beshear signed the "Snow Bill" into law earlier that afternoon to give relief to districts that have stressed out their calendar due to unusual, bitterly cold temperatures seen this winter.

Jefferson County Public Schools has also set the last day for teachers on June 13.

Graduation dates were also changed and will be set for the following days:
