LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- An investigation into stolen electric meters in Bullitt County leads the sheriff's office to a meth lab.
Officers arrested 37-year-old Roland Ritter of Louisville on Tuesday. Police said he admitted to stealing the meters.
He allowed officers to search his home and investigators found an active meth lab hidden inside a toilet tank.
If water comes into contact with meth-making materials an explosion can happen, so police evacuated the home and a home next door.
Ritter is charged with manufacturing meth, wanton endangerment, theft and tampering with evidence.
He's due in court on Tuesday, May 20.
