INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- A drill on a runway at the Indianapolis airport took an unexpected turn when a jet had to make an emergency landing.

First responders were participating in a training exercise and set a jet full of dummies on fire so they could practice putting out the flames. While in the middle of the training, a call came in for a real-life emergency.

A Delta jet made an emergency landing on another runway after making a distress call.

The jet landed safely, and officials said there was a problem with the jet’s steering.
