INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WHAS11 - Video RTV6) -- More than 2,000 toys were delivered to Indianapolis’ Riley Hospital for Children hospital and they didn’t come from Santa Claus.
Instead, the presents came from a child who knows the hospital all too well. BJ Yoho was born with spina bifida and has spent a lot of time at the children’s hospital.
Yoho has had 17 surgeries and had is right leg amputated, but for the last three years that has not stopped him from gathering toys for other children hospitalized during the holidays.
Last year he collected 600 and set a goal of 1,000 this year. Yoho surpassed the goal, doubling the number of toys donated.
He said his goal for next year is 4,000 toys.
