LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11)--  Two Indiana 18-year-old men charged with killing a couple in August 2013 may face the death penalty.

The Harrison County prosecuting attorney, Otto Schalk, released a notice on Tuesday detailing his intent to seek capital punishment.

The teens, Kevin Andrew Schuler and Austin Bryan Scott, were both charged with murder for the brutal killings of Gary Henderson, 70, and Asenath Arnold, 57.

In the notice released by Shalk, he said both teens were involved with both killings.

Austin Bryan Scott was charged with repeatedly stabbing Henderson and Arnold with a knife, while attempting to burglarize their home on Walk Drive in Greenville, Ind.

Kevin Andrew Schuler was charged with killing Arnold by hitting her “multipile times in the head with a single tree while committing the crime of robbery,” according to the release.

Following the murders, the teens stole prescription pills, credit cards and guns from the home.
