(WHAS11) The Rockport, Indiana man accused of murdering his own stepdaughter pleaded not guilty in court on Friday.
Police say 32-year-old Ryan Shelby killed his stepdaughter, Alexis Oesterle, earlier this month.
Her body was found at their home, less than 24 hours after the 15 year old was reported missing.
Shelby is expected back in court next month; his trial is tentatively set for next August.
