INDIANAPOLIS (WHAS11) – An Indiana State Police officer is facing forgery charges after being accused of forgery.
Sgt. Rick Reed allegedly forged fake purchase prices on vehicle titles so he could pay lower sales taxes.
The state police captain says Sgt. Reed’s crimes are unrelated to his position in the State Police human resources division.
Reed is currently on unpaid administrative leave.
