(WHAS11) -- Indiana lawmakers have approved a $30 billion budget that will restore some of the money cut from education and transportation.

Around 1:00 A.M. Saturday morning, lawmakers approved a two-year spending proposal, which includes an increase in school funding, new money for roads and highways, and roughly $350 million in new tax cuts. The approximately five percent tax cut will begin in 2015.

The cut marks a partial victory for Governor Mike Pence, who promised a ten percent cut in his campaign for office.
